The above covers my 35 year International career; for the most part I've worked and learned in large, well known world-class global companies. My three specialist career fields are information technology, strategic change & International management.

As a technologist I initially engineered software and analyzed, redesigned & implemented business systems - all of which gave me a forensic understanding of how companies work at a transactional level. It also meant that I did innovative work that involved making behavioral and cultural change. In the process I managed multi-disciplined, often International teams, and at various times, the overall company IT functions.

My strategy experience started in BOC when I initially did the strategy review for Central Services, then Medishield. All in all, I developed and presented strategy to the main board for six years in parallel to my IT role. After BOC I was involved to some extent or other in strategy at every organization I worked in.

In all the above I've had direct/functional International management responsibility in 23 countries (see below). And directly managed major organizational transitions including outsourcing (Digital - EDS $350m), Acquisitions (Wang acquired Olivetti ( $2.5B) involving 16 businesses mainly in Europe and Japan, and Divestments (Wang Global sold to Getronics for $3.5B).
